Palomas at the ready, we're off to Mexico! We are thrilled to welcome the first of our guest chefs, Wahaca co-founder and Masterchef winner, Thomasina Miers, to the A Cook's Tour kitchen. Let's delve into the foodie province of Oaxaca and create five fabulous courses.

About your chef

Thomasina Jean 'Tommi' Miers is an English cook, writer, and television presenter. She is the co-founder of the Wahaca chain of Mexican street food restaurants. In her teens, she travelled to Mexico and opened a cocktail bar where she discovered the diversity and quality of Mexican ingredients. She joined Masterchef when she returned to the UK and won the cookery competition in 2005. She then had a stint at Petersham Nurseries under the watchful eye of Skye Gyngell. She has presented several TV programmes including A Cook’s Tour of Spain and Mexican Food Made Simple and have written six cookery books, the latest being Home Cook, published by Faber & Faber.
